Roses for the Color Carnival

Here are a couple pictures of my neighbor's roses for this week's Color Carnival. Roses are very self sufficient in California, you essentially plant them, water them once in awhile, trim the heck out of them a few times a year, and Off they go!!

Gorgeous..and 1 more reason I should live in California. Maybe I could keep flowers alive there!!

Beautiful roses! My climbing rose looks awful. Every spring, it greens nicely, blooms, and then everything falls apart. All the leaves get spots and fall off. Then it comes back the next year. I don't know what the problem is!

Yup ... my roses tend to thrive on neglect too. Lovely colors in yours. I shared HATS this week!

Good for you to keep your roses alive. I've given up since I keep killing them.

Does your neighbor know her flowers are being stolen and posted for all the internets to see? :0) They are very pretty though...

Beautiful roses in your neighbor's garden. I often share neighborhood flowers too. You're so right about roses in California ;--)

The roses here are almost the same.. although the humidity does bring on the risk of powdery mildew... but the organic spray seems to work well.
