I have always been a fan of fashion pins and I am delighted they are back in vogue. (Thank you, Mrs.Obama!) I have a collection of Swaroski crystal and enamel pins from the 1980s when I sold costume jewelry wholesale during college. Two of the pins, one of a seal with a pearl on his nose and the other of a sword, are from Mallorca, Spain with the traditional black enamel design. At the top of the picture is a pin from China made with jade, coral, and peacock feathers. I am especially fond of the animal pins including the Toucan, Carousel Horse, and Spotted Jaguar. I am proud to say that I do not collect a thing. That is not to say that I don't have a lot of stuff, though.
Neat! My favorites are the three in the top left corner (seal, sword, and charm pin?). I was thinking it was going to be a button collection like my big sister had growing up. She had cut the leg off a pair of old jeans and tacked it to her wall and it was covered with buttons/pins of all kinds. Thanks for sharing! What else do you collect?

I used to wear vintage pins all the time when I was younger. I'd find them at thrift shops or antique store. I love shiny things:) BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Oohh, those pins are gorgeous! I love the lizard. Absolutely gorgeous - and I have a tattoo of a chameleon, so it's my favorite pin by default!
I love collecting books. Which is difficult because they are a pain to move when we get restationed with the Navy. But it's a fun hobby and fills both my need to collect things and my love of reading - bonus!

How cool is that! I learned the hard way not to mention a common item that interests me or you become inundated. I had a couple cute snowmen and soon they were everywhere. Last year I cleaned out and only kept a few I really, really wanted. But, my favorite things are hand made items by my mom and Grandma.
