CrazyBusy Cool

These last several weeks have been CrazyBusy.

Work - Really demanding right now. We have a new client and I transitioned my long term pediatric patients to another Nurse Case manager so I can work with these new adult patients. I pride myself on being flexible with work, but it's an adjustment. One 80 year old is equal to 8 10 year olds clinically. I am really going to miss talking with some of these special patients and their families.

House- So much to do, so little time. Organize office, purge youngest son's room of toys/clothes,books etc. How so much crap accumulates is beyond me. We aren't big shoppers so I don't know how this stuff sneaks into the house. Plus, I regularly get rid of things, so again, not sure how the drawers get full to bursting.

Garden- aka Cheap therapy and workout - the conversion of my side yard from grass to a rock/flower garden is almost done and I have the sore arms and hamstrings to prove it. I can't wait to post my before and after pictures. Here is a sneak preview of part of the "Work in Progress" pictures. These are some of the roses, agapanthus, and alyssum ready to be planted.

Blogging- Woefully behind on some really sweet Awards and Memes from some new bloggy friends. Thank you so much and I appreciate it and You Know Who You Are!!

Family- Our oldest has his 8th grade promotion ceremony last week, it was delightful and touching. Thank you all for your Well Wishes as he gets ready for high school. Youngest's last day of school is this Friday. They will both stay busy this summer with Scout camp, baseball, and swimming. Plus we are going to Oregon for a week next month.

So all good stuff, and lots of It! What's up with you?

I thought summer was supposed to be slow and relaxing...
I hear you about the house and accumulating stuff. I swear that my stuff is procreating somehow!

I've got a fun tag over at my place if you are interested...

You have been busy!!! Love the flowers and plants. I miss gardening.

What am I up to? Oh you know: sleep, pump, eat, go to NICU to visit boys, pump a lot more, eat a little more, go home, pump, go to bed, repeat pattern.

I can't wait for our babies to come home.

Ooh, I am totally with you on the gardening. Also a week in Oregon (never been there) sounds fabulous. Got a huge trunk to squeeze a big pregnant woman and a 2 yo in? Just burning lots of nervous energy over here. Will be blogging more about it probably today. Very productive, also therapy for me.

Stuff creeps in on us, too, and I have not a clue where half of it comes from! I love the conversion you're doing on your garden! And congrats to your kids on finishing another year of school! Next year will be so exciting for your oldest! (At least, I hope! :) )

Martha, we aren't big shoppers either and I believe in purging regularly as well(wait, that didn't come out right...lol). With that said, I just gathered up two HUGE bags of clothes and toys for the American Kidney Foundation.
Can't wait to see the before and after pics!!!

Jason, as himself said...

It's good to be busy with good stuff. It's bad to be busy with bad stuff.

I'm glad all is well with you!

Hi Ms Martha,
I've just been xipping through checking out all I have missed during this busy week. Sounds like you have really been busy lately too! Congrats again to your sion - you know the big high school boy. I can't wait to see your new garden! One more week of long ten hour work days for me and then almost 6 weeks of pure, sweet freedom for me! We're having a staycation again this summer - lots of home and garden project to be done. ENjoy the rest of your weekend and have a great week ahead!
