Friday Flowers at the Color Carnival

Here is my entry for this week's Color Carnival, a photo meme to celebrate Color, Glorious, Vivid Color. This is yet another picture of flowers from a neighbor's garden on my quest seeking inspiration for my own garden. I love zinnias and California is the only place where I have lived that crysanthemums grow outside.

Martha - if I didn't love you so much, I would hate you for you, and your neighbour's garden!

How pretty! Perfect for this week's color carnival!

Sorry I've missed entries this week - it's been a busy week! I'll be back to catch up a bit now that it's the weekend! :-)

I love zinnias! I planted some seeds this year and they seem to be taking. We'll see in July or August...

We have a mum that we can't get rid of. It somehow got entangled with one of our pine trees when it lived at my MIL's house, and now we can't get it out. Of course, this is in direct contrast to my annual mum massacre, where I plant mums in fall and they come back a little in spring, only to die within a couple weeks.

Beautiful!! I wish I had more of a green thumb... it's more black, as it is. My poor mother-in-law is a gardener, and she always asks about plants and flowers out where we live. I'm like, "Ummmm... I don't know what is growing in our yard, actually." You'd think after all these years she wouldn't ask. Just blind hope on her part, I guess!
