Multiple Perfect Moments

A surfeit* of perfect moments this week-

- Seeing the Firetrucks from cities and counties all across California packing up and leaving now that the wildfires are contained.

- Watching our sons practice magic tricks and make their own trick props, and then recount stories of amazing their friends.

- Having the boys clean the kitchen after dinner without being told. (I know, I am still picking up my jaw off the floor for this one.)

- Appreciating my husband's hard work and expertise to do the best job he can, whether it's being my partner, a warm and loving Dad, or a youth Soccer Referee and mentor.

- Looking forward to this coming weekend to meeting my blog buddy, Jason, who lives in the same city, going on a Girls Weekend next month with a few college buddies from Ohio, and then to Viva Las Vegas with the Spits in December. Anticipation... Happy Dance, tap, tap, tap!!

Thank you so much and I hope you are doing a happy dance too. A sincere thank you to Lori of Weebles Wobblog for hosting Perfect Moment Monday.

*Surfeit is such a great word, right up there with lacksidaisical.

I LOVE both of those words.

So great about the magic show and the magically done dishes!

Your boys sound so wonderful, and of course your DH too! I'm looking forward to seeing what cute things our boys will do as they get older.

Lovely moments - especially the boys' unsolicited clean-up!

My favorite memory of the word surfeit: When I was at work one day, my friend and her husband (who both worked in our company) were standing around talking. I came up to them and asked "Did Kenny Loggins die or something? Because there is a surfeit of Kenny Loggins tunes on the radio today." They told me that he had a new album coming out. Later, my friend said that her (very intelligent) husband decided at that moment that he liked me, because I could throw words like surfeit into casual conversation.

Happy dance, indeed! So much to be grateful for today. Send your boys over to my kitchen when they're done, k? ;)

This is such a fun idea. I may have to jump on board one day.

Thanks for stopping by Art's Chili pepper. I look forward to seeing what you come up with for the fair. I think it is so cool that you will be offering a giveaway! Now that is the spirit.

I am on my way out of town for an extended vacation and we've had a death that is taking us away 2 days ahead of schedule so I am short on time...should have been asleep hours ago but so much to do... But the thing I was getting at is that I look forward to checking your blog out more when I return.

I hope to see you around soon and frequently, Martha.

Good night! Kat
