Gilded Rose Manor Tea House for Pink Saturday

A dear friend of mine and I took some "girl time" over the summer and enjoyed a Victorian Tea at the Gilded Rose Manor in Northridge, California. It was so hot we had our tea iced, but everything else was the traditional British High Tea with scones, devon cream, lemon curd, cucumber and finger sandwiches, hot savories, and petite fours and sweets to finish. It was a lovely time spent with my friend matched by the charming surroundings with lots of pink throughout. It's hard to believe this tea house is a tract ranch house in the middle of the San Fernando Valley!

This is the main dining room with its pink tableclothes and deep pink paint on the walls.

I found this indoor tree with multicolored "silk" roses to be very charming.

This is the private party room for large groups and special occasions. The pink against the deep blue walls is quite stunning.

Please let me know if you are ever out this way and in the mood for a "spot o' tea", my treat! Thank you so much for stopping by and to Beverly for hosting Pink Saturday. My best to you and yours for a week "In The Pink".

I can't believe that you have an old fashioned tea room in the middle of the San Fernando Valley!! You can't beat a good High Tea. My sister and I went for one on a recent trip to Oxford.
And I love your label for this. Had to laugh that it included Colin Firth!!

Happy Pink Saturday :)

Many years ago I took my Mum for Tea At The Ritz, a most elegant afternoon with a grand piano, waiters in uniform pouring tea, a tower of sandwiches and cakes and of course, the obligatory cucumber sandwiches with their crusts cut off. We stole our linen napkins as souvenirs.

Thanks for the reminder!

Love the tea room! I think sharing high tea is just wonderful. I had high tea at Claridge's in London many many years ago and just loved every minute of it! Happy Pink Saturday!

You can't beat going out to high tea. It's not something I would love to do everyday, but once in awhile it's so fun. You look like you had a great time. Lunching with the girlfriends is something I never tire of, Happy Pink Saturday, Char

We have quite a few tea houses in my neck of the woods. I haven't been in one yet, but I imagine they all look like your example!

Glad to hear Martha you enjoyed your afternoon tea with your friend, it's a nice cosy looking place. Every year in January my friend and I fly to London and have afternoon tea at the "Ritz" My fiends son is in London, she likes to pay him a visit, so we have afternoon tea at the "Ritz" as our treat as well as taking in the ballet or a show.

Hi Martha, thanks for stopping by my other blog "Our Weekend Memoirs". It is a weekly meme co-hosted by me and my friend Arlene, from the Philippines starting every Saturday afternoon. We are practically "neighbors" and Gilded Rose Manor is in my area. There are so many places in the San Fernando Valley that you and I are rediscovering and I am following your blog now. I am glad the weather is cooling down but still it is hot to be going out. I am finding time to experiment on so many things and scheduling my posts for Sunday and Monday memes. Maybe later in the day we will watch sunset at the beach. Lets keep ourselves hydrated and have a safe and happy (long) weekend!
My main blog is here.

Pretty! When I got married, my coworkers had my coworker shower for me at a tea house and it was so fun and girly :)

You know, we don't have tea rooms in our place. A shame really cause it really looks so lovely. And what a way to spend a day with friends too. I'd probably be a frequent goer even though I'm not much of a tea person :-) Tha place looks so much beautiful that maybe I'll just eat the treats that usually goes with it LOL

Happy Pink Week!
