Glass Jaw

I thank you all so much for your well wishes and empathy.
I think wisdom teeth extraction is alot like mining only with smaller tools and I was probably nuts to do it without being put to sleep. After working in surgery for seven years, anesthesia is much more frightening than the procedure. So as I recover, I certainly have developed a new appreciation for solid food. I never thought eating chocolate pudding would be BORING! I am craving anything with a crust which is strictly verboten. I have developed a keen understanding of the term, "glass jaw". I don't recognize the inside of my mouth anymore, it's a whole new world. I wish I could blame this silly post on painkillers, but they make me sick and sleepy so I am doing just fine with Vitamin "I" aka Ibuprofen.
I just wanted to thank you all so much for your support and I hope you enjoy something chewy, scrumptious, and solid, like a crisp apple or juicy steak, or lobster, or OMG, I am torturing myself. Back to the ice bags and insanely stupid TV.

How about some chocolate chip cookies? Sorry, it's all in my blog. Hope you feel better soon to get back to enjoying the gourmet cooking of that husband of yours.

Luv,
RAxx

I won't mention the large piece of toasted Boudin sourdough bread slathered with butter and rasberry jelly that I just ate. Oops, I just did. Please heal quickly, I'd hate for you to have to read my upcoming post about lasagna and cake and really upset you :)

I wish I were close enough to make you a delicious smoothie.

Can't help you with insipid TV, though.

Ooof! I still have horrible memories of it at 18...I can't imagine doing it w/o going under. Not only are you a super cool person, you're also very brave.

Stay away from rice. That's the other bad memory i have from the surgery...getting a few of them caught in the holes. FUN!! I wish you a very very quick recovery.

I'm with you on the solid food thing today - I have a horrible sore throat.

I hope your mouth heals quickly - or that you can move on from the chocolate pudding to something more solid, like applesauce!

What- no Vitamin "A" (Ativan)?

My sister ate chicken noodle soup after her extraction, got a noodle stuck in the hole, and ended up with an infection...
