City of Angels for the Color Carnival

This is an angel from the Los Angeles Public Art project where over two hundred angels were decorated and placed throughout the city to create a Community of Angels.

Thank you for visiting for the Color Carnival. I wish you a most Angelic Weekend!

Did you walk all around and see them all? I think it would be really cool to see all the ways they were done.

Thanks for showing that!

Gorgeous - you get angels and our city did pigs, not that I don't love pigs, but what a comparison. B : )

Lovely... Here in Pinellas Cty, FL, we had a "sea turtle" project a few years ago. I loved all the creativity shown in the decorating and painting of these characters.

Martha, that is fascinating. I've seen the butterflies, cows, swans, catfish, and even manatees in some cities, but I've never seen angels! That is so neat!

Sheila :-)

So Beautiful!

My lovely State has painted Buffalo's. I can't help but admire the artwork, but your Angels are much more appealing!

Awesome! Reminds me of Cincinnati's Big Pig Gig a few years back...

Wow, now that is impressive - the type of art that I can look at, understand and appreciate. All those angels together must have proved such a wonderful sight.
