Honoring our Veterans

A salute to the veterans in my family who represent all branches of the military-

My uncle - Army- Tank Infantryman who liberated the death camps in World War 2.
My brother in law - Air Force - Helicopter Medi Evac pilot during Vietnam.
My cousin - Coast Guard - Served in U.S. and the Pacific waters.
My cousin's daughter - Navy, just finished 6 years on the Nuclear Carrier, the Nimitz.

We are lucky, you all made it home and safe. God Bless to all who have served.

Thank you Martha for sharing. Praise God they all made it home safe.

I thank God every night for my wonderful husband who served 2 years in Vietnam and made it home to tell the story.

Have a beautiful Veteran's Day tomorrow. May all remember to savor these freedoms that we have each and every day here in America. We are truly the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave.

Country hugs sweetie, Sherry

Along with saluting the people you mention, I honor both my uncles, and the husbands of both my sisters.

And all the others who serve our country.

We all owe your family a debt of gratitude for their service and not just to them but to their loved ones who served with them.

Thanks so much for leaving your tribute on my post today. It will go to the USO at the end of the week!

Very nice to remember.
I just have one memory: My childhood sweetheart who never returned.
There is no more war where all those who went--- away. They rest in PEACE.
