I'm back safe and sound, very happy to be home and flush with a fabulous and fun filled vacation in Southern Oregon.
Some lessons from my travels include-
If there are toilet seat covers available, by All Means Use Them.
I need a separate piece of luggage for all the electronic chargers. I am the official keeper of the chargers, blue tooth, check, ipod, check, rechargeable batteries, check, I'm like Scotty in the minivan, in charge of all power sources.
We do live in an international city, I forget how culturally diverse even my suburban outpost is in LA County.
A husband who excels at laundry is a Very Good Thing.
Good car tunes includes "The Boss" and "Trout Fishing in America".
Dorothy said it best, "There's no place like home."
Travelogue with pictures to follow in subsequent posts.

Life is a highway. It's how Mr. Spit and I start our car trips.
And it is good to be home, isn't it?
I'm glad you are home safe and that you had a good trip.
I like the blog layout. Very cheery.
So glad you are back! Can't wait to see the photos you brought home with you :-)
PS - I like the new layout :-)
Love this post. very good points! lol xoxox
So great to hear you did have fun! Ack dirty toilet bowls are one of my HUGE pet peeves! I ALWAYS make sure I line the lid with toilet paper sheets when there's no liner available. Anyhoo, welcome home. Ain't it great to be back home to your own bed?
Sounds like you had a good time - wouldn't it be fun (for you, anyway) to leave everyone in charge of their own chargers, just once? You probably wouldn't make it past the end of the driveway!
I think it makes for a fascinating cultural study to determine where the cleanest restrooms are on the road, and why exactly the disgusting ones are so disgusting. And, I am still fascinated by how little diversity there is where I live now, as opposed to where I grew up.
Glad you made it home safe. Love the new layout, and I can't wait to see trip pictures!
Welcome back. One of the loser letters I thought of is to the pee on the seat people out there. I do not use the covers BUT if it looks shady, I hover and wipe up after myself. Who pees all over and leaves it there? Pigs.
Looking forward to pic and love the new design :) MYM!!! (Missed Ya Martha!)
Welcome home! Glad you had a nice trip, looking forward to the pics. :)
Welcome back to our lovely city. While you were gone, I probably drove past your house ten times...or at least the house with the mannequin in the window...I was working at OO and wondered about you every time I drove down the street. :)
So glad you clicked your heels together and made it home safely. Can't wait to hear more about your adventures with protective tissue!
Welcome home. Thanks for the comment on the blood donations. I wasn't able to give a few times due to "too close to call" low iron counts. But the few times I did were a bit of a chore with issues of hyperventilation, fast pouring of blood into the bag, and the ever present issue of "is this vein okay?" and poking at it for a good 5 minutes to "wake it up" which is enough to to make me want to run out the door in hysterics. You are always such a dear bloggy buddy and I appreciate your constant support. By the way Distractingly Bombastic has returned.....for now. =)
Ooooh....also I spotted LWV in another bloggy land. I think she needs to be away from Bloggy land, but wanted to note she is out there. =)
its so nice to see you back!!! i missed you!!! welcome home ... xox.... annie

Woot I love husbands who do laundry.
I'm glad you're back safe and sound and I agree with you, there is no place like home.
I love Trout Fishing in America! Glad you had a fun time, looking forward to seeing pictures!
