About twice a year I make an effort to get in our boys' rooms and closets and get rid of outgrown toys and clothes, and all the other detritus that accummulates. (Gee, the whole house actually, but I can only manage one room at a time!!)
This past week, the 10 y/o and I sorted through his stuff. (He was less than thrilled to do this as he would rather be playing, imagine that.) He did get into the spirit of things when he turned to me with a worn out shirt and said, "This has had it, Pitch." His echoing of my sorting phrases just cracked me up and made me appreciate how blessed I am and to enjoy the little things, even doing chores.

I love it when I hear myself in my kids' phrasing.
So glad you got the closet clean -- and with help!
Ahh yes - I have experienced this as well, just yesterday in fact, but it sounded more like,
"Be sure you make appropirate choices today mom."
(seriously - guess who?)
I love how you enjoy the little things Martha!! Your so special!!
I can think of better things to do than clean a closet, but my husband, the Felix Unger of our relationship, would be in 7th heaven if he found me doing this.
Ha! Ha! Awesome. Love it! My son cannot talk yet so I only see him imitate my facial expressions and some of my body language. Looking forward to when he can repeat SOME of the things that I say. Ee-gads, that will be a whole new chapter won't it? Like your blog, will try to read more in all my spare time . . . Ha!
