Good Morning and Happy Monday to you!
Today, I would like to share a Perfect Moment that happened to our 13 y/o son. Our son, D. is in 8th grade and one of his classes is an elective, "Student Services". He works in the school office as a receptionist and runs campus errands for the counselors and staff.
He was walking on air when he came home a week or so ago and related the story of how a school counselor requested he get something out of her car trunk and gave him her keys. He told me how good it felt to be trusted. His happiness at this recognition reminds me what a gift it is to be considered trustworthy and how he deserves this so much for being responsible and kindhearted.
It is especially joyous to watch our son's transition into manhood and how he makes his way in the world. Scary, but wonderful.
Thank you and for more Perfect Moments, please visit Lori and her Perfect Moment Minions of which I am proudly one!

The counselor may never know the impact this small gesture had on your son.
I think it's great that he noticed and values the trust of others. Show a lot of maturity!
Got me a little choked up...I bet he's just a wonderful kid. Good job!
aw, that is so sweet! i hope he feels many more moments like that! goddess bless you both!
It's so nice that he appreciated something we usually take for granted. He sounds like a very nice 13 year old and you don't encounter those too often anymore. He must have some good parents too.
Thanks for visiting me and leaving me some SITSa Love!! Happy Thanksgiving!!
I always wanted to work in the school office. I never did though!!
A gift that didn't cost anything or use any resources...
What a great story. I am so glad for moments like that. It is nice to see that you are one that "stops to smell the roses" and sees this event as something special. So many others would brush it off as nothing to spend time on. Thank you for visiting my page and for your kind words to my sister and I. You are truly remarkable!
I just thought of something else to add....Pay it forward! All the people reading this and commenting on this will take this as something special and hopefully there is one more young person who is given that special respect. I will make a point to pass it on. Happy Thanksgiving!
Thanks for stopping by and commenting on my SITS day today. Thank you also for commenting on my Hubby's service. We miss that time in our lives and are so thankful he was able. Blessings to you and yours. I pray my daughter feels the pride your son does from receiving such a beautiful compliment from a teacher some day.
I have no doubt that if your son is anything like you - he'll be growing into a great person! Thanks for sharing such a sweet story :-) And thanks as always for all of your kind support - you always bring a smile to my face!
That's really fantastic. Your son sounds like a wonderful young man.
