Hi, my name is Martha and I'm a chocoholic.
This month at the interactive and supportive blog, The Motivation Station, we are hosting a challenge to take incremental and realistic steps to support and sustain a more healthful lifestyle and improved well being. Such a lofty high-faluting statement, but what it really means to me is I need to cut down on my consumption of my most favorite food, Chocolate, and replace it with more fruits and veggies. Simple as that. Instead of making Chocolate, especially good chocolate like See's or Ghiradelli, one of my five food groups or Sometimes All of my five food groups, I need to make it into an occasional treat. By the act of identifying and posting about this goal, I am making myself accountable and hopefully increasing my chance of success for long term positive changes in my diet.
Please stop by the Motivation Station if you would like to play along and do you have anything that you are ready to change?

Chocolate isn't a food group? I am in trouble!
I am thankful we don't have a See's here year round. I would be in really big trouble. Every thing in moderation....
Well you see...I got this special probiotic chocolate that's actually good for you! Win-Win!
I need to stop thinking I'll do things and START doing them! It's crazy.
Nooooo. You can't make ME give up chocolate! It's healthy (the dark stuff) - some study said so. If I eat all chocolate and nothing else, I'll live forever, right?
Good luck in your quest. Some days, chocolate is the only thing that gets me through.
my husband TOTALLY thinks choc. is a food group.. seriously.. he just told me!!! lol.. he can be such a girl sometimes!!!!
Maybe you should reduce your chocolate very slowly? So slowly that you hardly notice!
It really hurts that chocolate is bad for you...like REALLY hurts.
Lots of people consider chocolate a food group! I'm not a big fan of any kind of sweets (luckily) - but my love of beer is even worse. It's not hard giving up anything if we're really committed to doing it for our health, and it will all be easier with our support at TMS :-)
Man, what a hard thing to work on...then again, that'd be like sweet tea for me! Good luck!
but i just simply love chocolates!
Chocolate has never been a temptation for me, but we've fallen back into eating fast food several times a week this past month, and I really need to put the kibosh on it. Once I eat it once, I have a hard time stopping.
Chocolate is staying in my food groups, but I am not eating fried foods. A girlfriend is giving up ciggs, so I am giving up fried foods as long as she isn't smoking.
