Dear So and So Letters - Visitors Center

A nicer version of Dear Loser Letters is Dear So and So Letters, so in celebration of reclaiming my house, my time, and myself from our last visitors leaving I have some So and So Letter Love to share-

Dear Family and Friends,

Thank you for your visit, I love your visits, we all do. I am so happy when you come and we can spend time together. Let's do it all again soon, about another year sounds right.

Signed,
Enjoying the Lack of Relatives and Newfound Peace and Quiet

Dear Abigail, our very shy cat,

You can come out of the closet now. The coast is clear, all those strange people are gone. Well, except the strange people you are used to, aka your family.

Signed,
I tawt I saw a Puddy Cat

Dear Charley, our very social dog,

I am sorry you are missing the nonstop love and attention heaped upon you these last few weeks. It makes us sad to see you wander around the house looking for your entourage.

Signed,
My dog is an Attention Starved Teddy Bear

And just one more for good measure because I haven't done this in awhile-

Dear People who Say "No Problem" after I say "Thank You",

The correct term is "You're Welcome".
Thank you.

Signed,
You're Welcome

I heard a great "lecture" by one of our professors about saying "no problem" after thank-you. Such a huge put down for the person doing the favor, yet such a hard habit for our culture to break! I find myself saying it then retracting which might even be worse :)

Ha ha -- my dog is the same way! I always feel bad for her after my parents leave. :)

I recently heard another person talking about saying "no problem" instead of "you're welcome."

I honestly had never thought of it that way before. Totally makes sense and I'm much more aware of it now. :)

I have tried to load your button several times ,but our computer keeps shutting down.
It says we are low on memory .
So the bottom line is
I will keep trying.

Blessings of joy to you .
You have an awesome blog :)
I hope you have a fabulous rest of the week.

My sister's dog (who looks a lot like Charley) was so sad in May. First my nieces were visiting for a week. Then my daughter and I came for a few days. After we all left, he wandered around the house looking for people to play with (because my niece and nephews that he lives with don't play with him much!).

Well said! I think the part about company not coming back for a year was my favorite. There's something special about peace and quiet and cats who can once again roam freely.

I had never thought about that last one...I don't know what I say either. But I'll pay attention now.

Great post.

I would like to say,

Dear Sir Who Made a Minor Gaffe,

The correct term is "I'm sorry" NOT "My bad."

I hate that phrasology.
