Flashbacks from the Fifties for Pink Saturday

Welcome to Pink Saturday hosted by Beverly at How Sweet The Sound and Thank you for your visit!

The pink I wanted to share today are Flashbacks from the Fifties including some snazzy outfits worn by colleagues at my husband's company's costume bowling party a couple months ago. (Hubby and I are in the matching green bowling shirts, aren't we chic?)

Here's a classic Pink Cadillac outside of Schat's Bakkery in Bishop, California, a local culinary trademark in the Eastern Sierra Nevadas.

For more fun with Pink Saturday, please visit the incredibly talented and inspiring Fifi Flowers! C'est une artiste extraordinaire, tres formidable!

I also invite you to enter to win a bottle of Perricone Advance Facial Firming Activator, to keep your face in the pink too!

Well, darlin', I am lovin' this post cause I was a teen in the wonderful, easy-livin' 50's. What a wonderful time the 50's were and I have so many great memories of those good times...

Now, if you collect olden signs, this one I am showing is pretty old..not sure just how old. It is cardboard and would be wonderful under glass of a great tray or a frame with handles. If you would like to have it, I will send it right to you. Just email me at
bjconklin@xanadoo.com with your mailing address and it will be on it's way to you. I also have (somewhere) an olden ICE sign that went in people's windows to tell the iceman how many pounds of ice they would like that day. It is sooo cool and I can remember my mama using one in the late 40's. I will give it to you, too.
Just let me know...and if you don't care to have them, that's fine...just thought since you like old signs, you might like these. :))

I laughed so hard at matching bowling shirts...my mom and dad had them, too. :))

Fun post! Love the outfits and the car. We've had an ongoing bowling 'contest' with another family for years- the 'Pin Heads' and the 'Alley Cats'-the kids loved it!
