Camera Car for Almost Wordless Wednesday

Even though I have lived in Los Angeles for almost 17 years, it was in downtown San Diego a couple weeks ago where I finally got to see a camera car. Apparently, actors can't act and drive for safety reasons, and are often towed adjacent to a car that has an attached boom for the camera. The camera car is also painted a matte black so it can be digitally removed if needed. Pretty cool stuff and I still get star struck, even over autos.

Hey, just found your blog and I think it's terrific.

I've never seen a camera car, but I live in Utah. We're lucky if we see an Osmond in a car. They do look pretty cool though.

We have lots of filming around here and I still get excited to see it, even after 5 years!

I need the camera car. I can film myself going to work when I'm not. CGI is the best.

I have seen a camera car, actually, a couple of times, right here in our town. Pretty interesting!

I've never seen filming done, so that is very cool! The article on astro-organizing is very cool. I'm Pisces and I do struggle to stay organized, but thankfully, it's one of the things I need to do, so at least I try.

very interesting! I didn't even know they had camera cars like this; so do you know what they were filming down there?

What a fun blog. I never saw a camera car either, but who lives in Delaware where they might have one? I doubt the vice president qualifies, but I did see that presidential car occasionally, Dover, Delaware has the morgue for the military. Now isn't that a great thing to be known for. I don't think there was ever a movie made here. I think Biden put us on the map or some people probably forgot we were still a state, and thought that little tail on the map hanging into the ocean might have fell in.
Anyway thank you for the humor, laughter is always the best medicine. Thanks for letting me visit.

I never would have known that! I would have just thought someone's paint job was going bad!

OK so cool! I knew that's what they did, but I've never seen one.
