July in Christmas?

I am longing for the dog days of summer, no, certainly not for the triple digit temperatures, but for the non expectations.
Some people talk about Christmas in July, I want July in Christmas. No cards to send out, nothing to buy except sun block and burger buns, ah, the good life...

For more good life, please visit me at today at The Motivation Station. Thank you.

Christmas in July? Only if it snows.

Yes, I have some mild anxiety about Christmas cards...I might not even get to them this year.

I don't mind the cards. I love them actually. It's the gifting that can wear me down. Honestly, I don't need anything. Sure, gifts are nice. But the holiday would be so much more pleasant if we just got together, instead of needing to bring all these gifts.

I'm missing summer too. But that's nothing new for me. I start missing summer on the first day of fall...

I feel that way but only after Christmas.

you and me both! thing is the weather doesn't help a bit to try to get into the Christmas spirit, but at the same time, who wants snow and cold temps?

I much prefer December to July, to be honest. The present-giving can be a bit oppressive, but overall the cards, the food, the decorations... it makes me really really happy.

I wish I could pull the feeling of obligation from you, so you would enjoy it more as well!

I am feeling so not stressed this year since my family has decided to be Bah Humbugs and just chill this year. Gifts for my son and parents only, photo cards super cheap and half done already, dinner at the Olive Garden in lieu of big turkey dinner, and only need to show up at a few gatherings.
