Lately, I have been as blue as this Jeff Koons balloon dog. Thank goodness for the restorative nature of art.
I have survived a recent yard sale and vow to never do That again. Ever.
I am dealing with another milestone in parenting, our oldest has his drivers learners' permit and is attending drivers education. Drivers education doesn't come with a prescription for the parents, but it should.
Work has been incredibly busy and stressful as I transition patients to a client who did not renew their contract. Saying goodbye to long time patients has been much harder than I anticipated, and the kind things they have said to me are very touching and moving- "I'll never forget you", "You've always been so helpful", "I'll miss talking to you". Very kind things.
This is my 501st post and it's been over a month since I've posted. Can you say Loser? I knew that you could. ;o) Thank you.

While I *can* say Loser, I would never say it about you. Ever.
Sorry about the yard sale (is there any more chocolate left, or do I need to send more?)
Especially also sorry about D's new driver's liscence. (I think I should just send more chocolate).
He's a good, responsible, smart young man. Really.
Oh my, that is quite a load you've been carrying. My nephew is almost 16, and (according to my mom) is showing no major interest in getting his driver's license. Perhaps it's because his mother just got a job outside the home, and he knows he might be conscripted into chauffeur service for his younger sister and brother. (Just a little strategic suggestion...unless your son is more anxious for his independence)
It must be really hard to say goodbye to your patients when you know their issues are not over - just their contract. I bet it's harder to not say "call me anyway."
Congratulations on 500 (and one) posts! And I love that balloon dog - I wonder if I could persuade the artist to install one in my front yard. Do you suppose it would violate my subdivision covenants? Eh, it'd be worth the lawsuit!
Can't believe you put yourself through a yard sale. You deserved a month off. Actually, we all need a blog break once in a while.
Not a *loser* in any shape of form, just a lady with a busy & fulfilling life. Here in the UK, you can't drive until you are 17, but I swear that DS won't be driving until he's about 30!!
In no way are you a loser! You're just busy and life is stressful.
PS. Your blue balloon dog is cute!
I bet your patients are feeling pretty blue about the transition, too.
Nice to hear from you! When you said "yard sale" I almost broke out in hives.
XO, Martha. Good luck with the driving!
I've already decided Mr S will be in charge of driver's ed. There is not enough Xanax in the world...
You are so NOT a loser! I love the balloon dog and hope he cheered you up. Hugs!!!
And I can sympathize about the driver's permit one down, one getting his shortly and one to go.
Missed you. I will never do a yard sale ever again as long as I live.
I love the blue dog.

I love the blue dog.
How I love that balloon dog.
A great post, here's to another 500+.
Son2 has given us a year reprieve in getting his license... and I saw that dog in the second Night at the Museum movie... it came to life and was boinging all around with sound effects, lol... :)
Give yourself a break, you have been incredibly busy. I limit my yard sales to 1 every 20 years! As for your son's learner's permit, PRAYER does help!
