"People do not like to think. If one thinks, one must reach conclusions. Conclusions are not always pleasant."
Helen Keller
I am weary of people who base their decisions on shallow, superficial issues. I believe we are all smarter than the politicians and bureaucrats think we are. I am sick of the lies and avoidance of real dialogue among politicians. I am proud to be a citizen of this country and to cast my vote. I feel it is my responsibilty, we all have so much at stake, especially now.
If you haven't registered to vote, please do so, the deadline is nearing. If you "Don't vote, don't complain" is my motto. See you at the Polls!

Preach on sister! :) Seriously, I appreciate your post.
In Canada we are embarking on our own political race. I believe that one should vote to complain too... but there is NO one I WOULD willingly vote for in our riding so I don't know what the heck I am going to do!
Commenting in late, but I feel I must. I totally agree. I'm an active voter - never miss a single election day - I go every year, whether it is a presidential election or not. I always vote on the issues and not along party lines. I'm hoping this election year will bring a lot of people closer to feeling the power of their vote and to educate themselves on the issues.
